New skirts that take me back...

Skirts these days are really reminding me of the mini-skirts I loved in high school, a tight, one layer cotton/lycra mix anywhere from super mini to knee length. Back then I wore them with t-shirts and chuck taylors (hi-tops and lo). I'm dating myself, that's a totally early to mid 90's style and I rocked it proudly back then. Now those skirts are back, but with new details like zippers and pleating.

Inexpensive Shorts

I was talking to a friend the other day who just had a baby. None of her warm weather bottoms fits her yet and she needs shorts! I generally don't spend much on things like shorts, although a nice pair of denim cutoffs from your favorite designer denim brand is great, sometimes you want something you can really kick around in and not worry about them (or like my friend you just need a temporary size). For those kinds of things I go to Old Navy, and they have cute shorts. For starters these knee length oxford bermudas -

NU colorful Spring top

It was sunny and beautiful here yesterday, I'm hoping the beginning of a real spring and inspiration for a lovely new top perfect for this lovely new weather -

It would look great with jeans and heels for going out, or trousers and a cardigan for work. So, you know, really it's a bargain considering you could wear it everywhere and all the time!

Now I'm off to enjoy the sunshine (with sunscreen on of course Mom)
