New Years Sales, Sea Lions and Kiwis

Hi there, long time no see. I did not mean to be gone so long, but with my cold lingering and so much to do I decided to take a little break. I'm finally getting better and we took advantage of that to go see sea lions in Santa Cruz, and I picked kiwis - a lot of kiwis, luckily they ripen very slowly and keep for a long time. So I have some time to figure out what I'm going to do with them...

I helped a client buy some beautiful party dresses recently, we also had to make sure she had the right undergarments which can be really tough with some thin jersey or silk dresses. This thong is magic, it both disappears under the clothes, and is comfortable. That would make it the holy grail of lingerie I think -

A good foundation

So strange, after blogging about the bag yesterday, on my way home I saw a woman carrying it. Not in red, hers was navy blue I think, and it looked cool - but red is cooler.

Anyway, another thing I have been noticing lately is the lack of good bras around - I have said it before and I will say it again - there is no more sure-fire way of looking fat and dumpy than having a bad bra on.

let's remedy that situation - I promise these will change EVERYTHING, at least how you see yourself in the mirror -



I love wacoal, they do the most amazing job.



And they aren't boring or ugly either...they also aren't cheap, but they are worth every penny. You can spend tons on the clothes that go over it, but if the foundation isn't good, you might as well buy cheap clothes that fit poorly.

The Horror...And The Remedy

I don't usually do this, take a picture of a person without their knowledge...but I was stuck waiting in line at the post office for what felt like forever and, well, I was so horrified by what was in front of me. This woman was not at all honest when she looked at the mirror, that is if she looked in the mirror at all. We could all see every line and seam of her underwear under her awful capri pants (not just regular vpl, I'm talking EVERY seam). Plus the incredible wedgie that could not have been comfortable...oh, and then there are the socks pulled up. If it's so cold that you need to pull up socks, don't wear capris.


If you fear this could be you, buy as many pairs of this underwear shown below as you can, and wear it every day under everything, then at least you won't have people like me staring at every seam...

I am still obsessing over certain Kooba bags which are marked down now...I am trying very hard to control the urge to buy these days. Now with my *husband* moved in we just have WAY too much stuff. Best Underwear Ever (Nursing Bras also)

I have a new obsession this week, and for once it doesn't involve shoes or bag, this time it's underwear. Lingerie is a more appropriate word. Elle Macpherson's line - I LOVE it.
I was not a believer from the beginning, I thought ugh, yet another model gets some line of crap, but when I went looking for lingerie and tried it on I fell in love -



It's pretty, and comfortable and works well. It is a bit on the expensive side, but not so much, and Figleaves has some of it on sale like the bra pictured above, as well as the matching boy shorts -


The line also includes nursing bras. I imagine when in need of a nursing bra, wearing something pretty could make a big difference in how you feel about yourself. There is not much time for yourself when your child is that little so it can be a treat to wear something as pretty as this La Mere bra-
