Clothes are cheaper AND more expensive...

I'm back in CA so back to regular postings, and I'll start with this article in the Times today - more "common" clothes are getting cheaper because the prices haven't been going up for inflation in quite a while, the whole time though the price of luxury goods has risen far beyond inflation. Interesting... Are people who pay more suckers? The article just glances over the fact that the cheaper clothes are cheaper mainly because the people actually doing the work to make them are paid practically nothing, but the majority of shoppers probably don't like the think about that either.
